Let's face it, there are few things worse in this world than realizing after a test that you used a No.1 or — if the rumors of its existence prove true — a No. 3 pencil. It's OK. Don't beat yourself up about it. Instead, blame the powers that be who decided on the No. 2 — and then mischievously kept on making all those other versions. As a result, I dedicate this blog to all those who suffered this unfortunate fate.
So, without further adieu, I present to you a blog I created as a part of my Advanced News and Reporting class at the University of Northern Colorado. Granted, you may not find very much of use at this particular juncture of the World Wide Web. At the very least, though, will be a few random thoughts and musings about K-12 schools in Weld County, Colo. Enjoy...
Jakob Rodgers is a senior at the University of Northern Colorado covering Greeley-Evans School District 6 for this Advanced Newswriting and Reporting class. He is also a reporter for the Greeley Tribune covering K-12 education and the city of Evans, In spring 2009, became a Chips Quinn Scholar.
Rodgers grew up in Colorado Springs, Colo., and tries to visit the mountains to fish and hike as often as humanly possible. He also likes to eat cake (lots of cake) and realizes just how amazing the Green Bay Packers truly are — even while living in Colorado.
